James William Souther

James William Souther, age 89, of Gainesville entered heaven on Wednesday September 2, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Souther was born October 2, 1930 in New Holland, Georgia to the late James Oliver & Ada Porter Souther. He was a Poultry farmer for a number of years and a member of Murrayville Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mae Souther; sister, Frances Worley; brother, Melvin Souther.

Survivors include daughters, Patricia (Joe) Adams, Janet Souther & Rebecca Michelle (Daniel, Jr.) Carver; 7 grandchildren & 15 great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday Sept. 5, 2020 at the Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Dell officiating. Burial will follow in Murrayville Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Souther’s room will be open for anyone to drop by after 2:00 p.m. on Friday, however the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday Sept. 4, 2020 at the funeral home.
