Modesto Zavala Ruiz

Mr. Modesto Zavala Ruiz, age 76, of Hoschton passed away Sunday, September 6, 2020 at Northside Hospital – Gwinnett.

Funeral Services were held 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 11, 2020 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Pastor Jose Martir Bonilla will officiate.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Zavala Ruiz was born September 19, 1943 to the late Pedro Ruiz & Claudia Zavala in La Union, El Salvador.  He was a member of Iglesia Evangelica Apstotles Y Profetas in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Mr. Zavala Ruiz is survived by his children, Lucio Chavez, Vilma Chavez, Melba E. Palacios, Lidia Benitez, Maria Estrada, Susana Gomez, Consuelo Fuentes, Emma Majano and Catalina Grogan; 26 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Valeria Chavez-de-Zavala; and son, Israel Chavez.
