Raymond Paul Strychalski, Sr

Raymond Paul Strychalski, Sr., age 93 passed away Wednesday evening, September 30, 2020 in his home in Eastanollee, Georgia.

A son of the late Julian and Theresa Gregorek Strychalski, he was born May 18, 1927 in South Bend, Indiana. Raymond enlisted and served as a Marine PFC in the Second World War and participated in the Occupation of China. Raymond was married to Mary Virginia Lipowski on July 7, 1951. He worked for NIPSCO (Northern Indiana Public Service Company) for over 20 years. Raymond was a member of the American Legion Post 104 where he was awarded a 50-year continuous membership certificate. Raymond also had a love of music and played the trumpet with the Don Sugar’s orchestra in the 1960’s. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Ann Judd.

He is survived by his wife Mary Lipowski Strychalski of the home; daughter Debbie Barth (Garry) of Indianapolis, Indiana, his son Raymond Paul Strychalski, Jr (Mary Jean) of Hartwell, Georgia, as well as, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Raymond’s wishes were to be cremated. No visitation or services are planned.
