David Andrew Yearwood

David Andrew Yearwood, age 64, of Demorest, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 6, 2020 after a corageous battle with cancer.

Mr. Yearwood was born on December 4, 1955 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Earl and Gertrude Holcomb Yearwood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Robert Yearwood; and a brother, Tommy Robert Yearwood. Mr. Yearwood was a member of a Baptist Church. He was employed with Habersham Mills with over 35 years of service. He also raised chickens for 25 years. David was known to his twin grandsons as "Big Papa", and enjoyed spending time with them.

Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Brenda Grizzle Yearwood, of Demorest; twin sons, Allen Michael Yearwood, of Demorest and Christopher Todd Yearwood (Nicole), of Mt. Airy; twin grandsons, Trent Matthew Yearwood and Levi Grayson Yearwood, of Mt. Airy.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 9, 2020 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Connie Berry officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Yearwood will lie in state from 1:00 p.m., to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 8, 2020 at the funeral home for those wishing to pay their respects.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 8, 2020 at the funeral home.
