Nellie Louise Dyer

Mrs. Nellie Louise Dyer, 85, of Gainesville passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Pond Fork Baptist Church. Rev. Johnny Knight and Rev. Chris Hulsey will officiate. Interment will follow in Pond Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on June 5, 1935 in Rising Fawn, GA, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Irene Pryor Castleberry. She was retired and a member of Pond Fork Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dyer is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Dyer; daughters, Velvet Louise Dyer , Brenda D. Phillips; son in law, James Hamby; brothers, Billy Castleberry, Roy Castleberry and J.D. Castleberry.

Mrs. Dyer is survived by her daughter and son in law, Judy and Summie Martin of Gainesville; daughter, Trudy Hamby of Gainesville; daughter and son in law, Lisa and Keith Underwood; 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; sister and brother in law, Mary Lee and James York of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; brother, Eddie Castleberry of Flintstone, GA; special extended family, The Hulsey Family, The Knight Family and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
