Linda Sue Griffin Smith

Mrs. Linda Sue Griffin Smith age 74 of Toccoa passed away Wednesday December 2, 2020 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Dee and Connie Mae Pitts Griffin, she was born May 17, 1946 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all of her life. She retired from Ferro Company with 38 years of service. She was a member of Highpoint Community Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter Tammy Smith.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Tracy and Chuck Burnette of Martin, grandchildren Danielle and Josh Thurmond and Breeann Burnette, great-grandchildren Jace Thurmond, Jasper Thurmond and Maddox Burnette. brothers Jerry Griffin of Toccoa, Julius Griffin of Columbus, Georgia and Horace Griffin of Panama Beach, Florida, sisters Dee Ann Griffin and Mary Cordell of Toccoa and several nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held Sunday December 6, 2020 at 2 P.M. at the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Warren Lewis and the Reverend Ray Bohannon officiating. The family will be at the home and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday from noon until service time.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Chuck Burnette, Shannon Griffin, Richard Griffin, Kyle Griffin, Lamar Cordell and Matthew Cordell.

Interment will follow in Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery.
