Rodney Eugene Niles

The oldest child of the late Mrs. Mattie Ethel Young Cantrell and Mr. Clarence Niles, Rodney was married to Linda Dotson Niles for over 30 years.

Rodney was one of the most lovable people that you could ever meet. Although he faced many challenges in life, Rodney met each and every circumstance head on. He always looked for the good in each and every situation, no matter what it was. Rodney was probably the only person that you could ask, “how was dialysis today Rodney?”  His response was always, “It was great!”

 Taking after his mother Mattie Ethel, Rodney loved to cook and eat.  He worked for many years in the food service industry as a chef and always bragged on the weekly Sunday dinners he cooked. 

 To know Rodney was to love him.  He talked with his favorite uncle, Roger Young, at least once a day, every day.  Roger treated Rodney like a son.  Rodney always ended his conversations, whether by phone or in person with “I love you!”
