Larry Henry Brinkman

Larry Henry Brinkman, 83, passed away peacefully on December 15 at home in Gainesville, Georgia.  

He was the husband of Judith Johnson Brinkman.  They shared 61 years of marriage together.

Born September 27, 1937 in Mansfield, Ohio.  He graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1955.  He graduated from Ohio University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1959 and University of Puget Sound with a BS in Business Administration in 1962.  He served 3 years as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force.  He worked in the manufacturing industry for 20 years. He owned and operated “All Bright Sign Co.” in Westlake, Ohio for 25 years.  He resided in both Gainesville, Georgia and Sarasota, Florida.

Larry belonged to North Olmsted Assembly of God Church in Ohio and was attending Free Chapel in Gainesville, Georgia until his passing.  He will be lovingly remembered for his devotion to both God and his family, as well as his competitive spirit, athleticism, honesty, loyalty, and sense of humor.

He is survived by his spouse, Judy, 3 children and their spouses, Kim Brinkman Avery, Cindy Brinkman Smith, Tim Brinkman, Dave, Dean and Amy, twin sister, Carol Brinkman, and 6 grandchildren, Dustin and Cheridan Smith, Jonathan and Jacob Avery, and Arielle and Alexandra Brinkman.

We will celebrate Larry Brinkman’s life with a small family gathering.  “Sing praise to the Lord – home at last!”
