Mary Ellen Howington

Mrs. Mary Ellen Howington, 73, of Gainesville, passed away December 24, 2020 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Drewery Loggins will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, December 28th and Tuesday, December 29th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on December 22, 1947 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Edward and Lula Mae Blalock Edwards. She was employed in the Janitorial field and a member of Pleasant Acers Church.

Mrs. Howington is survived by her husband, Homer D. Howington of Gainesville; sons and daughters in law, Larry D. and Christy Howington of Gainesville; Preston R. and Cheryl Howington of Gainesville; grandchildren, Corey Howington, Brittany Reed, Hannah Howington, Cody Andrews, Taylor Smith, McKenzie Andrews, Chelby Howington; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Pam Vaughn (Bill) of Waycross; brother, Larry Edwards of Gainesville; sister, Linda Evans (Kermit) of Gainesville and a number of other relatives.
