Frank "Elizabeth" Pirkle

Mrs. Frank (Elizabeth) Pirkle, age 96, passed away December 24, 2020, surrounded by her loving daughters.  A private Family Graveside Service was held at Concord Baptist Church in Cumming, Ga.

Born in Forsyth County, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late John and Della Burruss. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Pirkle, her brothers, John Burruss and Frank Burruss, her sisters, Ruth Plowden and Becky Watkins, and son-in-law, Dennis Pitts.  Survivors include her three daughters, Beth (Perry) Strickland, Jane Pitts and Lori (Mike) Roberts; Grandchildren Knox Roberts and Tatum Roberts, and many nieces and nephews.  

The family would like to give a special thank you ro Cheryl Denny, Brenda Frempong and Fedora Ravello for the love and care given to Mrs. Pirkle.

Elizabeth was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Gainesville for more than 50 years, as well as a member of the Winsome Sunday School Class.  She was a loving and caring mother, wife, sister and grandmother “GiGi”.  

Mrs. Pirkle was a licensed LPN and had various jobs, including working with her daughters’ clothing businesses.  She loved gardening, cooking, and especially putting up vegetables for her family.
