Marian Nell Brown

Marian Nell Brown, affectionately known as “Doo”, was born on November 7, 1950 to the late Roscoe Brown and the late Edith Brown. She was called home to be with the Lord on January 8, 2021. She was preceded in death by her special friend, Harold Ellison; brothers, Richard Brown and Mickey Brown; sister, Martha Hester; and nephew, Tom Byrd.

Marian attended Gainesville High School and worked at Guilford Mills for 27 years. She attended Faithful Christian Worship Center.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her son, Leonard Ellison and his special friend, Tashia Harrison; grandchildren, Chamique Ellison, Kalah Williams, Jamarcus Harrison, Tanaja Harrison, and Jamaud Ellison; sisters, Mary Brown, Beatrice Ware, Brenda Fae Brown,

Juanita (Howard) Turner, and Sonia Brown; special friends, Charles Borders and Joy Gunter; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Thursday January 14, 2021 at 1pm at Dexter T. Sims Mortuary, LLC in The Rev. Charlie, Jr. and Conchita Sims Memorial Chapel. Viewing will be Wednesday January 13, 2021 from 2pm-7pm.
