Charles Fritz Noack

Obituary Date: Friday, February 26, 2021

Charles Fritz Noack, age 84, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away February 26, 2021. He was born August 26, 1936 in Washington, D.C the only son of Charles Fredrick Noack and Hazel Amelia Hinson.

He spent most of his teenage life in Hinson, Florida and was raised by his grandparents D.P. and Betty Hinson.

He was a graduate of Havana High of Havana, Florida.

He married Barbara Joyce May, June 20, 1957.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force and National Guard as an Airman First Class and was stationed in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. 

From the service, he went to work for his cousin, Walter Hinson, in the electrical industry and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. As time progressed and Georgia began its building boom, Charles became a very successful Manufacturer’s Representative for Georgia Power and eventually became President of Booth-Hinson-Noack.

Charles was well thought of in his area of industry. He was everyone’s friend and worked diligently at maintaining strong relationships with his customers. He kept every thank you note that was ever written to him and it was a joy reading them and seeing how he was loved and respected by so many.

He was active in community politics and was a close supporter to several people in state politics. He served on several bank and other boards including Joesph T Walker School, when it was first founded in the early 70’s. He was also a long time member of BYO, a fellowship of top executives in the electrical industry, and served as their president in 1992.

Charles was a talented hunter, fisherman and golfer. Even if his golf game did not go very well, he usually won the “best outfit” award. His other hobbies included but not limited to, coin collecting, antiques, travel, photography, avid reader, scuba diver, cooking and recipe collecting. He loved the North Georgia mountains, being on the lake and the ocean. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Noack and his mother, Amelia Hinson Noack and by his second wife Judi Aman Noack.

He is survived by his first wife Joyce May Noack, and their three daughters Vicky (Ron) Goennewich, Wendy (Roger) Palmer and Julie (Ed) Infanzon and his three step children Lesa ( Joe ) Rago, Lona Aman and Chad Aman. There are a total of 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Charles was known for his gentleman’s nature and politeness. Even during his last week of life on this earth, his nurses commented on how, though a struggle, he always responded with a “thank you” to the care that he received from them. He was a friend to all and had the great gift of making everyone feel important. He was a born salesman.
