Cynthia Dale Norris Smith

Mrs. Cynthia Dale Norris Smith, age 66 of Collins Road, Toccoa passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens.

A daughter of the late Frank and Laura Holbrooks Norris, she was born February 27, 1954 in Oconee County, South Carolina having lived most of her life in Stephens County. She was employed with Coats and Clark for a number of years and was a member of Welcome Baptist Church, Westminster, South Carolina. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Smith and by a daughter, Laura Ragsdale.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Bradley and Delaine Ragsdale and Jonathan Ragsdale both of Toccoa; grandchildren, Cindy Smith, Ellen Henderson and Jarrod Smith; brother, William Norris of Westminster; five sisters, Fay Mize and Martha Pitts both of Toccoa, May Weaver, Macie Cox and Ginny Woods of Westminster.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 19, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Brandon Crunkleton officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jonathan Ragsdale, Bradley Ragsdale, Buddy Mooney, Barry Goss, Michael Holbrooks and Stacy Justice.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from noon until the service time. Due to the health and well-being of the community, social distancing must be observed. Interment will follow in the Welcome Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Cynthia Norris Smith.
