Hershel Hill

Mr. Hershel Hill, age 88, of Commerce, GA died Friday, March 19, 2021 at his residence.  Mr. Hill was born in Carnesville to the late Hoke and Ludy Clark Hill.  He was the owner of Hill Motor used car lot for over 50 years.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae Brown Hill; and sons, Johnny Hershel Hill and Steve Allen Hill.

Mr. Hill is survived by his daughters, Dell Teller and Brenda Barker both of Commerce and Glenda McDonald of Braselton; sons, Ricky Hill of Bonaire and Chris Hill of Commerce; sisters, Mary Hill and Peggy Culpepper both of Athens; brothers, Joe Hill of Athens and Jimmy Hill of Commerce; and 30 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Sunday, March 21 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Carroll Griffin and Mr. Ricky Hill officiating.  Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from noon until 2 PM.  Brandon Hutchins, Zak Hix, Tate Hill, Tripp Hill, Luke Hill, Wade Slater and Will Slater will serve as pallbearers.
