Nancy Nissen

Nancy Nissen, 81, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday March 21, 2021 following a period of declining health.

Mrs. Nissen was born January 3, 1940 in Troy, New York to the late Norman and Alice Dudgeon.  Nancy was a proud homemaker who dedicated her life to her family.  She possessed a strong Christian faith and was always praying to be a blessing to others.  She enjoyed baking cakes, sewing and loved roller skating.  Nancy will always be remembered for her amazing sense of humor.  Also preceding her in death were her husband, Robert L. “Bob” Nissen; daughter, Tammy Thompson; sister, Phyllis Cornwell; and a brother, Norman Dudgeon.

Surviving are her sons and daughters in law, Samuel and Michelle Nissen, Dawsonville, Abraham and Amber Nissen, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Sarah and Billy Woodall, Heather Thompson, Jonathan and Annalise Nissen, Abigail Nissen, Grace Nissen, Jayden Nissen, Ezra Nissen, Bria Nissen; several great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021, at 6 p.m. at the Church at War Hill.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 6 Thursday at the church.
