Larry Garrett Vandiver

Mr. Larry Garrett Vandiver, 74, of Gainesville passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

 Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Phagan officiating. Interement will be in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

 Born on December 22, 1946 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late Allen and Lucy Humphries Vandiver. He was employed with J&J Foods where he was a stocker and a clerk. Mr. Vandiver was a member of First Congregational Holiness Church.

 In addition to his parents, Mr. Vandiver is preceded in death by his brothers, Ed Vandiver and Franklin Vandiver.

 Mr. Vandiver is survived by his brother and sister in law, Robert and Mary Vandiver of Gainesville; niece and nephew, Vickie and Dwight Merritt of Flowery Branch; nephew, Darren Vandiver; great nephew and great niece, Collin and Lindsay Merritt of Jefferson; great niece and great nephew, Jamie and Matt Harris of Woodstock and 2 great-great nieces.

 Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA  30504 is in charge of arrangements.
