James “Doodley” Parker

James “Doodley” Parker, age 75, of Buford, GA passed away Monday, April 12, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Parker, Jr. and Lottie Lee Dollar Parker; sister, Joyce Parker; step-son, Danny Hosch.  He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Parker, Gainesville, GA; step-children, Mary Woodward, Pendergrass, GA,  Joann Hosch, Buford, GA, Randy Hosch, Wrightsville, GA; grandchildren, Chris (Barbie) Parker, Buford, GA, Megan (Michael Jones) Parker, Pendergrass, GA; sister Elizabeth Hutchins, Buford, GA; brother, Richard “Rusty” Parker, Gainesville, GA; three great-grandchildren, Autumn Parker, Pendergrass, GA, Mason Jones, Pendergrass, GA, Cooper Jones, Pendergrass, GA; special friends, Linda Duncan, Buford, GA, Edwin “Pinky” Patterson; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Mr. Park was born June 29, 1945 in Buford, GA.  He received his education at Vance Cross Road School, Buford, GA.  Mr. Parker was a retired carpenter.  He had worked for Junior Satterfield Construction Company.  He also did volunteer work for Buford Housing Authority in Buford, GA.  Mr. Park was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Flowery Branch, GA.  A Funeral Service will be held on at 12:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 15, 2021 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Shadburn officiating.  Interment will be at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at the funeral home
