Marilyn Jean (Lynn) Cosner

Mrs. Marilyn Jean (Lynn) Cosner age 74 of Gainesville, Ga passed away on Thursday April 15, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.       

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday April 18, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to following Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Bobby Brown will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday April 18, 2021 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lynn was born on October 02, 1946 in Portland, Maine to the late William Wuenschel and Elizabeth Logan Wuenschel. She was a homemaker and was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Lynn was a giver, helper, nurturer, and a true servant. Lynn was known for her big heart, her giving nature, and for her love of her family members and friends. She had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. She also loved bingo, cards, and crafting, but most of all she had a strong passion and love for all of her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold Cosner, daughter, Rhonda Mershon, grand-daughter, Hannah Simmons, and great-grand-daughter, A’Lannah Rose Hopkins.

Lynn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy Reed (Randall) of Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law, Paula Howard Karrigan (Shane) of Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law, Amber Cosner Mize (Dave) of Danielsville, Ga, daughter and son-in-law, Judy Simmons (Jackey) of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, Joe Brammer (Staci) of Flowery Branch, 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Chief Petty Officer, William C. Wuenschel (Connie) of San Jose California.

Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
