Robert Max Brown

Mr. Robert Max Brown, age 76 of Ward Circle, Toccoa passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 at his residence. 

A son of the late Junior and Ruth Massey Brown, he was born October 27, 1944 in Martin, Georgia, having lived in Stephens County all his life.  He was a Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Navy.  He was employed with Daniel Construction Company for a number of years and was a member of Martin Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Joan Andrews Brown in 2020 and by a sister, Eleanor Coffee.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Jay Franklin of Toccoa; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brent and Heather Brown and Mark and Jody Brown both of Dacula; grandchildren, Haley, Jarred & Hannah, Mackenzie, Anna Kay, Mallory, Caitlin, Sara and Drew; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dwayne and Winnifred Brown of Good Hope, Georgia and Mike and Vickie Brown of Milledgeville, Georgia; sister, Janice Brown of Athens, Georgia.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 6, 2021, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Doug Carter, Clay Carter, Mike Stowe, Chance Thomas, Chuck Kelley and Jarred Brown. Honorary pallbearer will be Drew Franklin.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from noon until the service time.  Due to the health and well-being of the community, social distancing is strongly encouraged.  Masks are encouraged during the visitation and service.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Flowers are optional.  Memorials may be made to the Shepherd Center, 2020 Peachtree Road, NW, Atlanta, Georgia  30309-1468 in memory of Mr. Robert Max Brown.

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with Military Honors by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard and the V.F.W. Post 4346 Honor Guard.
