Alger (Al) Kozlowski

Obituary Date: Sunday, May 9, 2021

Mr. Alger “Al” Kozlowski, age 68, of Gainesville passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Hamilton Place Personal Living.

Mr. Kozlowski was born October 4, 1952 to the late Harry & Josephine Kozlowski in Bad Axe, Michigan. Mr. Kozlowski graduated from Port Austin High school and served in the military as an Army Ranger, stationed at Ft. Knox and Ft. Benning, from 1972-1974.  He retired after 35 years in customer service and management from Golden Pantry and Petro Fast. A member of Hopewell Baptist Church, he had a smile that lit up the room and he made friends everywhere.  He loved fishing and horses and was a loyal fan of the Braves and the Falcons. His granddaughter Zoey was the light of his life.  He celebrated 45 years of marriage with his wife, Janet, whom he dearly loved.

Funeral services will be held, 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Memorial Park South Chapel with inurnment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.

He is survived by his son & daughter-in-law, Johnny & Laurie Kozlowski; granddaughter, Zoey Kozlowski; brother, Dave Kozlowski; sister, Pat Hesslinger; sister & brother-in-law, Eileen & Bob Gudenau; and sister and brother-in-law, Jim & Karen Koroleski.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Kozlowski.
