Linda Joy Shull

Obituary Date: Monday, June 14, 2021

 

Linda Joy Shull, 77, of Cumming, Ga. passed away peacefully on June 14, 2021, in her home after a short illness surrounded in love with her family by her side. Born in Chattanooga, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late William and Miriam Rothwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Shull of 49 years, her daughter Terri Delbridge, and sister Delores Morgan.       

Linda was a devout Christian and lived her life full of love as an example to all those that she knew. She was affectionately known as “Nanny” to her grandchildren.  She lived an active life in church, sports such as soccer, basketball and tennis, ceramics, spending time on the beach in Destin, and caring for her dogs Zoey and Shelby.  She was known to be a giver and always put others first. She is survived by her daughter, Sherri (Robert) Langley of Aspen, Colo.; sons, Kenneth Edward Shull of Cumming, Jefferey (Jennifer) Shull of Gainesville; sister, Sandra Rogers of Tx; grandchildren, Kyle (Marissa), Jacob (Lauren), Carlyn, Mackenzie and Quinn Langley, Riley (Cody) Martinez, Tara (Peyton) Knadler, Karson and Chase Delbridge, Tucker, Mitchell (Sidney) and Heather Shull; great grandchildren, Jaxson and Charlie Langley. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 19th, from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. at McDonald and Son Funeral Home followed by a private graveside service. A Celebration of Life is to be held on June 27th to share personal stories, reminisce, and honor Linda. The location and time will be communicated via Facebook.
