Loy “Sonny Man” Crane

Loy “Sonny Man” Crane, 75, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday July 4, 2021 at Seasons Hospice following a period of declining health.

Born September 30, 1945 to the late Dock, Sr. and Annie Crane, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.  Sonny Man was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.  He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Fanabell Stephens, Marell Bailey, Vera Maw Davis, Mardell Greenway; brothers, Billy Crane, Eugene Crane, and Dock Crane, Jr.

Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Linda Crane, Dawsonville; daughters and son in law, Jamie and Terry Allen, Dawsonville, Wanda Bearden, Dawsonville; sons, Jesse Crane and his fiancé, Natalia Hall, Dawsonville, Casey Hubbard, Dahlonega; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Monnie Chester, Dawsonville, Annette Anderson, Jasper, Frances Baughcum, Hartwell; brother and sister in law, Carl Dean and Marjorie Crane, Dawsonville; and a number of other relatives.

A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
