Betty Jo Esford

Mrs. Betty Jo Esford, age 89, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021.

Betty was born in Cleveland to the late Chester Evans Dorsey and Wilma Glass Dorsey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Robert Esford, Sr; daughters, Sharon Archer and Patsy Head; grandson, Chris Hulsey; granddaughter, Sherry Oliver; and siblings, Louise Savage, Earl Dorsey, Unzell Palmer, and Edsel Dorsey.  Betty was a member of Skitts Mountain Baptist Church.

Survivors include children and spouses, Wayne Hulsey, Dianne Hulsey Austin (James), Tony Hulsey (Sandy), Karen Hulsey Walker (Paul), Daryl Hulsey (Dennis Gayton), all of Cleveland; step-daughter, Gloria Barnes; step-sons, Robert Esford and Greg Esford; 16 grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Skitts Mountain Baptist Church.  Rev. Kyle Savage and Rev. Mike Irvin will officiate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the funeral home.
