Douglas James Witherby, age 64, of Gainesville, GA, beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend passed away on July 31st.
He was born in Columbus, Ohio January 27th,1957.
He is survived by his former wife Tina Witherby and two daughters Brittney & Angela Witherby of Lithonia, Ga. He is also survived by his father Ron Witherby of Miami, FL, – 3 sisters Susan Chambers of Gainesville, GA – Kathy Macey of Calabash NC and Michelle Witherby of Miami, FL as well as a brother Paul Witherby of Miami, FL Also he is survived by 7 precious nieces & nephews. Forever in his heart and dear to him as friend and confidant Jerry Runnels of Gainesville, Ga.
Douglas studied at Burlington Bible College NC – as well as achieved ministerial and biblical counselor at New Birth Church Lithonia, GA. He also served in ministry at New Mercies Lilburn, Ga. He served in the Navy stationed in Hawaii. He prospered in various fields and locations in his career. His passion for cooking and exotic cuisine tickled many a palate.
He has come to rest at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home Gainesville, GA – a service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers at his request “Love one another as I have loved you”!
