Mr. Willard Ray Bond, age 82, of Commerce, GA died Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center. Mr. Bond was born in Danielsville to the late Alton Luther and Lucy Cox Bond. He was a member of Blacks Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Westinghouse. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bond was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Bond.
Mr. Bond is survived by his wife, Betty Morris Bond of Commerce; daughter, Gwyn McGee of Commerce; son, Tony Bond of Commerce; sister, Glenda Shirley of Jefferson; brothers, Kenneth Bond (Janice) of Elberton, Bobby Bond (Pat) of Comer, Morris Bond (Janice) and Larry Bond (Louise) both of Danielsville and Douglas Bond (Wanda) of Commerce; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Saturday, August 14 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. John Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday night from 5 to 8 PM.
