Jose Antonio Merlo, Jr.

Jose Antonio Merlo, Jr., age 80, of Buford, GA, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-five years, Gloria F. Merlo. He is survived by his sons, Alex Merlo of Buford, GA and Greg Merlo of Buford, GA; grandchildren, Andrew, Madison and Jacob; sister, Dalia Merlo of Miami Lakes, FL; and brother, Guillermo Merlo of Hallandale, FL. Mr. Merlo was born on April 27, 1941 in Havana, Cuba.  He graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and retired from Delta Airlines after 32 years of service. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
