Kathy Thelma Ray

Mrs. Kathy Thelma Ray, 76, of Flowery Branch, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Gainesville First Nazarene. Rev. Gary Huff and Rev. Jeremy Pass will officiate. Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, August 16, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on April 25, 1944 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Eurastis Chitwood and Estelle Weaver Ingram.  She was retired from the Hall County School System. Mrs. Ray was a member of The Gainesville First Nazarene.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ray is preceded in death by her husband, James Ray and brother, Winston.

Mrs. Ray is survived by her sister and brother in law, Teresa and Philip Strickland of Gainesville; brother and sister in law, Harley and Elaine Ingram of Gainesville; sisters and brothers in law, Becky and Wayne Pass of Gainesville, Deborah and Richard Lagasse of Flowery Branch; step son and wife, Jeff and Dana Ray of Flowery Branch; granddaughter, Emily Ray of Flowery Branch and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
