Frank Creegan

Obituary Date: Saturday, August 28, 2021

Frank Creegan, 78, of Gainesville passed away Saturday August 28, 2021 at The Phoenix at Lake Lanier following an extended illness.

Mr. Creegan was born May 12, 1943 in Dundee, Scotland and lived there until the age of seven when his family moved to North Arlington, New Jersey.  He grew up playing sports and following high school, Frank joined the U.S. Army and served during Vietnam.  Following his military service, Frank attended Emory University in Atlanta where he earned a master’s degree. He then spent thirty years serving Hall County as he held many different positions at Lanier Park Hospital until his retirement.  Frank was an amazing and devoted father who loved his children dearly.  From coaching sports teams to going on many adventures, he always put them first in his life.  He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jessie Creegan and brother, Robert Creegan.

Surviving are his daughter, Kristi Creegan of Dawsonville; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Karen Creegan of Alaska. 

A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday September 1, 2021 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in honor of Mr. Creegan to Kare For Kids at www.kareforkids.org or the Alzheimer’s Foundation Of America at www.alzfdn.org.
