Mary Lou Anglin

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Mary Lou Anglin, age 77, of Jefferson, Georgia, who passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Mrs. Anglin was born in Brenham, Texas, a daughter to the late Ludell Walker and the late Edgar Jones. Mrs. Anglin worked for years at the Gwinnett Daily Post and was a Front Office Assistant for a medical office. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Anglin was preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her, Reece and Mattie Lou Walker; her husband, Gene Anglin and her brothers, Robert Walker, Lonnie Walker and Grady Walker.

Survivors include her children, Shannon McCarty Overstreet and her fiancé, Fred Gaunce of Jefferson, Michael McCarty and his wife Stacey of Dacula; sister, Charlotte Glenn of Houston, TX, grandchildren, Zachary McCarty, MacKenzie McCarty and her husband Kevin Tello; Michaela McCarty, step grandchildren, Ryan Overstreet, Jessica Overstreet, Patrick Overstreet, Reed Overstreet; 2 great grandchildren, Ayden Tello and Meekah Malvo also survives.

The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Chad Mantooth officiating. The burial will follow in the Evans Memory Gardens.

The visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, prior to the service, at Evans Funeral Home.
