John Carl Dyer

Mr. John Carl Dyer, 81 of Gainesville, Ga passed away on Wednesday September 01, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday September 05, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Reverend Bill Trotter and Reverend Robin Dyer will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday September 04, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Sunday September 05, 2021 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. both days the funeral home.

John was born on July 08, 1940 in Georgia to the late Ernest Lester Dyer and Margaret Blalock Dyer. He was retired from the Hall County Sheriff’s office and also served in the United States Navy. He was a minister for many years and was currently attending Christian Baptist Church where he preached. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, George Elton, David, and Mitchell Dyer, 1 sister, Melba Dyer and nephew, Jeffrey Dyer.

Mr. Dyer is survived by his children, Renee Dyer- Shipman, Zoey Cathryn Mechelle Lasseter of Gainesville, Greg and Shane Lasseter, Diana Marie Dyer, Misty Kavett Dyer- Riley (Kurt), grandchildren, Jordan, Bradyn, Colby, Alyssa, Alexis Miller, Austin Lasseter, Skyeler Jackson, Joseph Jackson, great-grandchildren, Everly Harding, Elena Harding, Laden Lasseter, Levi Lasseter, Oliver Jackson,  brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Robin and Paula Dyer, sister and brother-in-law, Rev. Marvin and Sharon Harris, sister and brother-in-law, Deirdre and Chris Blackwell, sister-in-law, Diana Manus Dyer, nephews and nieces, Bobby, Phillip, Micah, Sage, and Casey, and many other close relatives and friends.
