Billie E. Bearden

Billie E. Bearden, 88, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday September 1, 2021.

Born July 13, 1933 to the late Buron and Jeannette Bearden, Mr. Bearden was a native of Forsyth County and had lived in Dawson County since 2004 having moved from Jonesboro.  He retired as a Quality Control Supervisor for Owens Illinois Glass following 35 years of service.  A member for over 50 years of Ducktown Lodge # 572 F&AM and a member of New Harmony Baptist Church, he enjoyed computers, Ham radio, fishing, Captain D’s every Friday and spending time with his family.  Also preceding him in death were his sister, Gwen Timms, and a brother, Clyde Bearden.

Surviving are his daughter and son in law, Sheila and Mark Johnson, Dahlonega; grandchildren, Misty and Todd Pearson, Tiffany and Joey Tanner; great grandchildren, Jansen Jones, Hunter Pearson, Zachary Pearson, Jeremy Tanner, Jessica Tanner, Justin Tanner; brother and sister in law, Jimmy and Linda Bearden, Jasper; his friend, Sandra Smith; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Saturday September 4, 2021 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Sylvester Ridings will officiate.  Interment will follow in the New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Forsyth County.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
