Gail Johnson Harrison

Gail Johnson Harrison was born August 23, 1947, in Gainesville, GA to the late William Johnson and Mamie Thompson Johnson. She departed this earthly life on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.  

Gail graduated from E E Butler High School in 1965 then went on to attend Gainesville College and Clark Atlanta University. 

She retired from First National Bank (Regions), Turbo Transport and Gainesville Water Resources. Her passion was gardening, reading the Bible and enjoying her grandchildren. 

Gail was a lifelong member of St Paul United Methodist Church where she served on the finance committee and as a member of the Frances Asbury Circle. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mamie Johnson, her husband, James Edward Harrison Jr., a sister, Sherry Johnson, and brothers David and Larry Johnson. 

Gail’s’ loving memories will be cherished forever by her sons, Ashley (Bianca) Harrison, Philip Todd (Kanicka) Harrison, Grandchildren; Jada, Hunter, Chayse and Noah Harrison, sister, Sandra Haley, mother-in-law, Elsie Ferguson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.  

Psalm 34:18 – The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.  

Services for Gail Johnson Harrison will be Tuesday September 7, 2021 at 1 PM at St Johns Baptist Church, Gainesville GA.
