Weldon Garland

Mr. Weldon Garland, age 90, of Braselton went to his heavenly home to reside with Jesus on Sunday, September 5, 2021.

Graveside Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 10, 2021 at Belmont Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Bill Compton will officiate.  The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 10, 2021 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Garland was born September 11, 1930 in Cleburn, Texas to the late Horace & Gatha Garland.  A Veteran of the United States Navy, he was a member of Belmont Baptist Church and Mason Lodge #748 in Pendergrass.  He was retired from Georgia State Oil Lab, where he was a Chemist. 

Mr. Garland is survived by his children, David & Barbara Garland, Dawn & Ronnie Fouts and Tamara & Mark Pierce; grandchildren, Jason Garland, Chad & Cheryl Garland, Bret & Christina Messer, Tiffany & Shane Lepock, Kristin & Seth Seagraves, Samantha & Luke Bishop and Autumn Wood; 15 great-grandchildren; and sister, Gayle Garland.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Nancy Jordan Garland, who passed away August 28, 2020.
