Lucille Mize Cash Nix

Mrs. Lucille Mize Cash Nix, age 90 of Dooley Drive, Toccoa passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at The Clary Center in Toccoa.

A daughter of the late John Mize and Gladys and Tommy Thompson, she was born January 21, 1931 in Monticello, Georgia  having lived most of her life in Stephens County, Georgia  She was employed with Toccoa Manufacturing Company and Gem Southeast as the Personnel Manager for a number of years before retiring. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, a member of the PBX Club, Red Hat Society and loved square dancing.  She was preceded in death by her father, John Mize, mother and step-father, Gladys and Tommy Thompson, her late husband, J.B. Cash, daughter, Joni Owens Byrd, son, William Larry “Bubba” Cash and by a brother, William Fred Mize.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Martin Nix of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Jim Townsend of Toccoa; grandsons, Bronson, Jason and Brandon Ivester and Houston Owens; also blessed with seven great-grandchildren who she dearly loved.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, September 21, 2021, 2 O’clock p.m. at the Stephens Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating.    Immediate family and close friends are invited to attend.

Flowers are to be omitted.  Memorials may be made to the Stephens County American Cancer Society, c/o Jerry Snell, 575 Rosedale Street, Toccoa, Georgia 30577 in memory of Mrs. Lucille Mize Cash Nix.

Inurnment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Lucille Mize Cash Nix.
