Mrs. Cornelia Blackwell Rucker, 91 of Gainesville, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021 following an extended illness.
Born January 4, 1930 in Hartwell, Georgia to the late Nelson Blackwell and Jettie Strange. Cornelia was preceded in death by her husband the late Doc Rucker and grandson Jarian Watson.
Mrs. Cornelia’s favorite pastimes were gardening, canning foods, cooking for her grandchildren, sitting on the porch with her grandchildren, and watching cooking shows and old reruns.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters Connie Rucker, Vulore Rucker, and Christine Rucker of all Gainesville, GA; grandchildren Jason (Amy) Bright of Charlotte, NC, and Cassandra Rucker of Gainesville, GA; and great-grandchildren Micah and Kai Bright, Davanee Cantrell, Princeton Watson, and a host of cousins.

The visitation for Mrs. Cornelia Blackwell Rucker will be between the hours of 12-8pm at Wimberly Funeral Home on Thursday, September 23rd.
