James Davis Bell

James Davis Bell age 85 of Gainesville entered heaven Monday September 20, 2021 at his residence with his family by his side.

James was born December 24, 1935 in Hall County to the late Jim & Laura Davis Bell. He retired from Chicopee Manufacturing with 36 years of service, and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Hazel Ayers Bell; grandchildren, Jason Edge & Jill Edge; great grandchild, Abby Grace Collins.

Surviving is his daughters, Debbie (Rev. Mike) Gilleland, Cathy Bell & Rebecca (Mike) Sosebee; grandchildren, Brandi (John) Barnes, Haley (Jason) Collins, Jan Smith, Jamie Ansbro & Charles “Chase” Simpson; great grandchildren, Mikayla Forrester, Mason Barnes, Megan Collins, Eadyn Collins, Ava Collins, Jessica Collins, Taylor Smith, Madison Smith, Kyler Smith, Austin Ansbro, Brody Ansbro & Diesel Ethan Ansbro; great great grandchild, Sadie Grace Forrester.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday Sept. 23, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Mike Gilleland officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Ward’s Funeral Home on Thursday before the service.
