Benjamin Ronald Nix, Jr.

Benjamin Ronald Nix, Jr, 51 of Cumming, GA passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville, GA after a brief illness.  He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Dawsonville, GA.  He retired from the Lumpkin County Sheriffs office with 20 years of service.  He loved to play his guitar and spending time with his family.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Bearden Knight; grandparents, Joseph Earl and Lena Jarrard Nix, Masteen Bearden.

He is survived by his lovely wife of 14 years, Kimberly Nix of Cumming, GA; children, Zacery Swofford of Cumming, GA, Avery and Kassandra Nix of Cumming, GA, Alex Nix of Cumming, GA, Chase Butler of Cumming, GA; granddaughter, Violet Nix of Cumming, GA; father, Ronnie Nix of Dahlonega, GA; stepfather, Jack Knight of Dahlonega, GA; sister, Ginger and Joseph Sabater of Dahlonega, GA; grandmother, Murrell Bearden of Dahlonega, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives survive.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Allen Swafford and Danny Ray Martin officiating.  

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
