Cynthia 'Cyndi' Diane Pinion

Obituary Date: Wednesday, October 13, 2021

Mrs. Cynthia “Cyndi” Diane Pinion, age 62 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her family.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pinion was born December 6, 1958, in Mobile.

Cyndi is survived by her husband and the love of her life, Charles Pinion. Together, they had two daughters & two sons-in-love, Mandi & Ryan Phagan of Murrayville, and Elizabeth Danielle & Glenn Tanner of Gainesville, who gave them eight grandchildren who were the joy of their Pini’s life, Luke Phagan, Joshua Tanner, Katie Grace Phagan, John David Phagan, Jackson Tanner, Andrew Tanner, James Phagan, and Benjamin Tanner. She is survived by her mother, Lois Shaw of Braselton and two sisters, Wanda Perkins of Loganville and Meredith Wells of Braselton, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles E. Shaw.

Cyndi was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. She was a prayer warrior. She was a woman of prayer for both those in her close circle and for anyone she heard of who was struggling. She kept a list of names she prayed over daily. Cyndi exuded Jesus. She trusted Him for salvation at an early age and followed Him all of her days. Her faith was unwavering.

Her favorite place to be was with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She delighted in preparing their favorite meals and treats. She savored family time and laughter. Cyndi was a devoted wife, mother, “Pini.” daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend. She exemplified the woman written about in Proverbs 31. She fought the good fight. She finished her course. She kept the faith.

Today, without a doubt, she is Home in the presence of her Saviour and King. If there was one thing she would tell the world, it would be, “Trust Jesus to be your Saviour right this minute.” Assuredly, her LORD welcomed her with, “Well done, good and faithful servant! Enter into the joy of your LORD!”
