Wesley Leon Turner

Mr. Wesley Leon Turner, age 81 of Bend N Hickory Road, Toccoa passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A son of the late John W. Turner and Lora Mae Fillyaw Turner, he was born November 19, 1939 in Turner County, Georgia having lived the last 20 years in Toccoa.  He was retired from CSX Railway Company.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda McClure Turner, by a daughter, Christi Leigh Turner, a granddaughter, Courtney Taylor and by a brother, Fred Turner.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, John and Robin Turner of Toccoa; grandchildren, LaShea and Sean hart, Shane Turner and Corrie and Erik Carter; five great-grandchildren; brother, Mack Williamson of Tifton, Georgia; sisters and brother-in-law, Linda Turner, Brenda Pope and Barbara and Herbert Wood all of Tifton, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Ken) Welch of Toccoa and Leah (Rusty) Tolley of Cliff, New Mexico.

Graveside services will be Thursday, October 21, 2021, 3 O’clock p.m. at the Stephens Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Aaron Santor and Mr. Rusty Tolley officiating.

Flowers are to be omitted.  Memorials may be made to the Stephens County American Cancer Society, c/o Jerry Snell, 575 Rosedale Street, Toccoa, Georgia 30577 or to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29605 in memory of Mr. Wesley Leon Turner.

Inurnment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Wesley Leon Turner.
