Jean Beth Palmer Owenby

Mrs. Jean Beth Palmer Owenby, age 66 of Morningside Way, Canon passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Northside Hospital Forsyth, Cumming, Georgia.

A daughter of the late Francis Palmer and Claire Anderson Palmer, she was born March 9, 1955 in East Hampton, Connecticut having lived most of her life in Toccoa and most recently in Canon, Georgia.  She was employed with Coats and Clark for a number of years and was of the Holiness faith.  She loved her pet dogs, Tweeter and Shiloh.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Junior Owenby and by two brothers, John Palmer and Frankie Palmer.

Survivors include two sons, Eddie Evans and Westley Evans; step-sons, Tony Owenby of Dahlonega and Toby Owenby of Martin; grandchildren, Josh Owenby, Cody Bray, Kaitlyn Bray, Cassi Owenby Emanuel, Amber Cheek and Alana Dunson; fifteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Steven Palmer of Toccoa and Richard Palmer of Iowa; sisters, Martha Mealor of Toccoa; Lynda Fain of Elberton and Denis Garner of Eastanollee; a number of nieces and nephews; best friend of 51 years, Diane Wallace.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 29, 2021, 4 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Ralph Goss officiating.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday 3 p.m. until time for the service.
