Michael Dean Smith

Michael “Dean” Smith, age 72 of Cleveland, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021.

 Mr. Smith was born on November 30, 1948, in Hall County, to the late Albert and Bonnie Presley Smith.  Dean was the owner and operator of Smith Dozer and Hauling. He was also a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Smith.

 Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Amy Smith; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Diane Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Anthony Roberson; grandchildren, Corey and Kimberly Flanagan, Charissa and Ryan Kennedy, Elijah Summerour, Lindsey Smith, Jayden Harkins; great-grandchildren, Makenna Flanagan, Waylon Flanagan, Jayce Kennedy, Kelby Kennedy, Mason Kennedy.

 Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 1, 2021, at Shoal Creek Baptist Church.  The Rev. Stacy Dyer and Rev. Josh Chatham will officiate.  Interment will follow in Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

 The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
