Tammy Lynn Becker

Tammy L. Becker, age 63, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2021 from breast cancer. She is survived by her two daughters, Jody Becker and Elise Razo; son-in-law, Jesus Razo; daughter-in-law, Shadonna Becker; three grandchildren, Jesus Razo, Donovan Razo Becker, and Eve Razo Becker; father, Morris E. Simpson; brother, Morris R. Simpson; sister, Frances Simpson;  step-sons, Justin Reffner and Ian Reffner, and fur-baby, Max. She is preceded in death by her mother, Loretta Simpson; granddaughter, Samantha Razo Becker; and partner, Dan Reffner. 

Tammy grew up in southern Illinois and enjoyed horseback riding, playing piano, singing, and spending time with her family and friends. She married Dale R. Becker in 1980, and had her daughters, Jody and Elise.  Dale and Tammy later divorced.  Tammy then gained two step-sons, Justin and Ian, with her partner Dan Reffner. 

She spent most of her adult life dedicating herself to her career in education as a teacher, then went on to become a school administrator in multiple schools in Gwinnett County.  She sincerely enjoyed her work family and helping students as a public school employee.  Through her career, she made lifelong friendships that she cherished forever. 

A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held at Flanigan’s Funeral Home and Crematory in Buford, GA on Saturday, Dec. 4th, 2021 at 1 pm.  A visitation will be held starting at 12 pm prior to the service at 1 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Tammy's name to St. Jude’s Hospital or contributions to the family for her grandchildren’s futures.
