Gregory Tyron Jackson was born on January 5, 1960 to Deacon Fred C. Jackson and the late Sis. Carlene I. Jackson of Tattnall County, Collins, Georgia. He was called home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2021.
At an early age, Gregory attended and worshipped at Mt. Pilgrim Missioinary Baptist Church, Collins, Georgia and continued serving at Friendship Baptist Church, Atlanta, Georgia.
Greg understood the meaning of fatherhood, friendship, and brotherhood in his lifetime. He was one of a kind and showed his love to those he cared for in his own unique way. Greg was a proud member of the Prince Hall Masonic Order.
Gregory leaves to cherish his memories to his daughter, Morgan C. Jackson of Snellville, GA; devoted father, Deacon Fred C. Jackson of Collins, GA; brothers, Freddie C. (Karen) Jackson, Jr. of Vidalia, GA and Rickey A.(Vondell) Jackson of Collins, GA; sisters, Charlene R. (Calvin) Jackson of Athens, GA and Charla L. Jackson of Norcross, GA; dedicated friend & mother of his daughter, Marsha Silas-Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday December 11, 2021 at 1pm at Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church In Collins, Ga. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Viewing will be held Friday December 10, 2021 from 1pm-6pm at Mt Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church.
