Barbara Jean Crane Russell

Barbara Jean Crane Russell, age 81, of Statham, GA, formerly of Buford, GA, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. She was preceded in death by parents, O’Dell and Nannie Parker Crane; brothers, Clifford Dallas Crane and Harland Crane.  Mrs. Russell is survived by her husband of sixty-six years, James “Jim” Russell of Statham; children, Jimmy Ray and Debbie Russell of Statham and Sherry and Brad Aufmann of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Jennifer and Russ Cate, Christopher and Brooke Russell, Ashley and Pete Sieg; eight great grandchildren; sister, Jeannette Crane of Canton, GA; brothers, Ralph Crane (Patsy) of Flowery Branch, GA and Jack Crane of Gainesville, GA; and aunt, Ruby Parker of Rest Haven, GA. Mrs. Russell was born on November 27, 1940 in Maxeys, GA. She was a homemaker, and a member of Statham First Baptist Church in Statham, GA. Mrs. Russell enjoyed gardening and crocheting.  Spending time with her family was her biggest joy.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Thomas, pastor of First Baptist Church of Statham, officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 13 from 11:00 a.m. until time for the service at 2:00 p.m.
