Alfred Newton Cain

Mr. Alfred Newton Cain, age 83, of Commerce passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Cain was born in Commerce to the late, Paul J. and Mary Tom Ray Cain.  Mr. Cain was retired from Lucent Technology, a member of Webbs Creek Baptist Church, US National Guard, and a member of the American Legion Post 215.  In an addition to his parents, Mr. Cain was also preceded in death by his brother, Tom Cain.

Mr. Cain is survived by his wife, Gladys Taylor Cain of Commerce; son, Stephen Cain (Chizuru) of Commerce; daughter, Lesia Ramsey (Michael) of Commerce; brother, John R. Cain of Commerce; grandchildren, Taylor, Hunter, Talia, and Speer; great grandchild, Kaiden.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, Jan 2nd at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Ferguson, Rev. Swayne Cochran, and Rev. Charles Crabbe officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-3 PM.
