Robert D. "Bobby" Vaughan

Robert D. "Bobby" Vaughan, 73 of Gainesville passed away Saturday January 1, 2022 at his residence.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Vaughan was the son of the late V.J. and Jeanne Butler Vaughan.  He worked at the Mulberry Community Center as a greeter and was a member of Chestnut Mountain Church.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Jennie Nix Vaughan, Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Stacey and Matt Smallwood, Gainesville; Lori and Trent Smallwood, Flowery Branch; 5 grandchildren, Tucker Smallwood, Kade Smallwood, Beckham Smallwood, Gracyn Smallwood. and Palmer Smallwood, sisters and brothers-in-law, Gaye and Jack Hicks, Cleveland, Patsy and Phil Carpenter, Gainesville, Kathye and Chuck Herring, Sharon, SC, a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Vaughan is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, William Vaughan.

Celebration of life services will be held Monday January 3, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Rev. Brian Hall will officiate.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions please be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to any charity that helps children.
