Curtis Ray Thompson

Curtis Ray Thompson, age 68, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022. He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Sandra Harrison Thompson of Sugar Hill; sons, Ryan Thompson (Gina) of Alpharetta, GA and Nicholas Thompson (Sarah) of Auburn, GA; grandchildren, Casey Thompson, Kellan Thompson, Emma Carver, and Elijah Thompson; sisters, Linda Robertson and Carolyn Elsberry (Jerry); brothers, Charles Thompson and Michael Thompson; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Thompson was born on August 9, 1953 in Akron, Ohio. He graduated from Murray County High School in 1971, and he retired from Hitachi Telecom after thirty years of service. Mr. Thompson was a member of Sugar Hill United Methodist Church where he did a lot of volunteer work. He was an avid tennis player.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Church on the Hill (aka Sugar Hill UMC).  The family will receive friends at the church following the service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sugar Hill United Methodist Church.
