Betty Sanders Burnett

Mrs. Betty Sanders Burnett, 69, of Gainesville passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 10, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Bryan Woodson will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Sunday, January 10, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on October 30, 1952 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Dean Sanders and Montine Hamilton Sanders. She was retired truck dispatcher. Mrs. Burnett was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burnett is preceded in death by her son, Brent Burnett and brothers, Leonard Sanders and Doug Sanders.

Mrs. Burnett is survived by her husband, Wilburn Burnett of Gainesville; daughter and son in law, Laurie Burnett Underwood (Mark) of Gainesville; grandchildren, Madeline Underwood, Aaron Underwood, Ridge Burnett, Rocco Burnett; sister, Bonnie and Wayne Carroll of Gillsville; daughter in law, Roxanne Burnett of Gainesville and a number of nieces and nephews.
