Cora Jean Mayberry

Mrs. Cora Jean Mayberry, age 80, of Gainesville passed away Monday, January 10, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Alta Vista Cemetery.  Rev. Ronald Seabolt and Rev. Robert Clark will officiate with Rev. Donald Robertson saying the Eulogy. The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., January 15, 2022 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mayberry was born May 12, 1941 to the late Richard O. & Dorothy Mae Jones in Jefferson.  She was a member of East View Baptist Church and retired from Makita Power Tools.

Mrs. Mayberry is survived by her husband, Fred W. Mayberry of Gainesville; son, David Randall Garrett; daughter & son-in-law, Debe & Mark Alexander; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Kenneth Jones, Dorothy & James Nelson and Marie & Dan Jones.    She was preceded in death by her sons, Donnie Ray Garrett and Dannie Lamar Garrett; parents; and brother, Richard O. Jones, Jr.
