Franklin L. Smith III, 51, of Buford, GA passed away Friday, January 7, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin L. Smith, II. Franklin is survived by his mother, Carol Ann Smith, Buford, GA; brother, William Robert (Gail) Smith, Cumming, GA; niece, Krista (Kendall) Payne, Ludowici, GA; Nicholas Smith, Cumming, GA; aunt, Linda L. Neupauer, Williamsport, PA; uncle, William R. (Jean) Dalton, Williamsport, PA; and cousin, Shawn Neupauer, Weirton, WV. Mr. Smith was born June 3, 1970 in Williamsport, PA. He received his education at Buford High School, and was a truck driver for USA Truck. He had antique cars and was an antique car collector and enthusiast. Mr. Smith loved his puppy “Jasmine”, and was of the Catholic faith. Funeral services are scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA with Rev. Bill Donohue officiating. Entombment will follow in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens cemetery in Buford, GA The family will receive friends at Flanigan Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gwinnett County Humane Society in memory of Franklin L. Smith, III.
